Cricket Australia has announced the central contract list for the Australian women's team, featuring 18 players. This year's announcement includes a mix of new entrants and notable exclusions.
Tess Flintoff has received a central contract following her impressive performances in domestic competitions, where she set the record for the fastest fifty in the Women’s Big Bash League.Â
Australian head selector Shawn Flegler praised Flintoff during the announcement, emphasizing her resilience in overcoming an injury. He mentioned that with Flintoff fit and ready for the upcoming summer, she will provide valuable support in the bowling department.

“Tess is an exciting young player who we believe has a long future in the green and gold,” said Flegler. “We're looking forward to seeing her fit and firing throughout the summer, which will add further depth to our pace-bowling stocks.”
Georgia Voll, who recently signed her contract, has been retained and upgraded in the new contract. However, all-rounder Jess Jonassen is not on this list of contracted players.

Flegler also commended Voll as an immense talent, highlighting her role in Australia’s limited-overs team for the 2024 season. He remarked on her adaptability, which impressed selectors and contributed to her upgrade. Jonassen is expected to play a significant role in the upcoming 2025 World Cup in India.
“Georgia has made a sensational start to her international career, showcasing immense talent from the onset and playing a pivotal role for the team in the absence of Alyssa Healy at the top of the order. Her ability to adapt to various formats has been impressive, which will be crucial with the ODI World Cup later this year and a multi-format series against India in the new year,” Flegler added.
